Letter and attached editorial comments, 1910 February 27, n.d.

Humorous cover letter to M.A. De Wolfe Howe written by an inventor submitting a description and a model of a wooden puzzle for publication in The Youth's Companion. The letter begins "Some time ago you asked me if I could not give you something simple, similar to the whittled-out wooden puzzle described in an enclosed clipping." Editorial comments on Houghton Mifflin Company notepaper come from a later period and include Lovell Thompson, Frank Foster of the Press Room, and "Morgan [last name unknown]. All are curious as to what the exact "thing" might have been back in 1910.
